My Story
What’s paramount to me as a DJ is how to entertain a crowd, throwing away your ego and showing off your mixing and scratching skills is only a part of what makes a great DJ.
I've been lucky enough to be continuously DJing since 1986, when I only had turntables to learn my craft. Since then, I’ve kept up with the technology and skills needed to keep a busy dance floor, be it 20 or 2000 people.
I love all genres of music, but dance or house music in particular is my favorite. I've DJ'd events that wanted ska & reggae, indie & rock, 70s & 80s, soul, funk and disco right up to the current-day genres of pop, hip hop, RNB, D&B, hype, grime and drill.

Where my forte lies whilst DJing is reading a crowd, making that change if what I’m playing is not working and blending one genre into another. Weddings notoriously have a wide range of ages. You’ll please most people most of the time, but not all people all the time.
Knowing how much micwork you should use also comes with experience. Some crowds love an MC style of night, others just continuous mixing without a word.
Every crowd is different, so as a DJ my prerogative is planning and research. I will come fully armed with the best of my knowledge of who my crowd is and what they want, and together we can both enjoy a memorable musical experience.
